How To ... Load a Document
Here there is a big difference from other operating systems. To load a file, you need to find that file in a directory window (a filer window) and either double-click it or drag it to the application you want to process it. There is no 'load' dialogue available in the application itself. Double-clicking a file will 'run' it - for a text file that means open it in a word processor or editor. For a BASIC programme that means execute it (so SHIFT-double-click opens it in an editor). All the applications currently running will be offered the chance to load a file of this type and if none responds the default programme for that file type will be started.
